York St John Creative Centre

York St John Creative Centre is a brand new, award-winning building built to house music, drama and other creative courses at the university. With a central auditorium seating 150, purpose-built creative break-out spaces and a surrounding atrium to mingle and browse exhibition stands, it’s the ideal venue for our return Convention.

The Centre is just outside the ancient city walls, within sight of York Minster, less than a mile from the railway station and within walking distance of a range of hotels and guest houses.

Convention locations

All our sessions and our exhibition will take place in the Creative Centre. Lunches and our Saturday Convention dinner will take place just across the pathway in the Holgate dining extension (pictured here). Tea and coffee stations will be spread around the Creative Centre to avoid too many queues.

The building itself is on three floors, all surrounding the central atrium, which makes finding your way round straightforward. Our delegate reception will be by the main doors and will be manned throughout the weekend, so do come and see us if you’ve any questions – or just to say hello!
