  • 15:15 Exhibition opens, with tea and cake
    Start your Convention weekend with afternoon tea, sponsored by Snape Maltings' Friday Afternoons and take a first look round our extensive music-trade exhibition. It takes place throughout the weekend in the Ghandi Hall and is a great place to browse, get ideas, plan new repertoire, plan choir tours, book workshops, buy equipment and much more. All the major music publishers, music tour agents and many other specialists will be there.
  • 16:15 Session 1b: Your Choir CAN sing opera! With Oliver Rundell
    Pianist, Cambridge organ scholar and now Chorus Master of Opera North, Oliver knows how daunting and yet how enjoyable tackling operas can be for choirs which aren't used to them. Don't be frightened - come to his session and see how your choir can achieve memorable operatic results!

    with Monkey Magic. An interactive session with this top barbershop quartet, including hints and tips to use with your own choirs of any kind, and the chance to hear them perform.
